Sunday Classes


Please join us for dances and music from Mindanao, Southern Philippines!

Class will focus on dance (movement), music (kulintang) about the indigenous cultures of Mindanao.

Join this Sunday class series and discover the meaning, movements, and nuances of the ancestral epic Darangen, a Living Tradition of the Meranao, Maguindanao, and Iranun peoples of Mindanao, Southern Philippines.

A suggested donation of $100 covers all five sessions and includes a malong (to be used for class), Kinding Sindaw T-shirt, and tote bag. $30 per session is also available for the same perks.**

Please RSVP in advance (for each class) so we know to be expecting you!

These donations will directly support our work in offsetting costs of hosting dance classes, performances; maintenance of our props, instruments, and wardrobe; funding our tradition bearers’ travel and accommodation expenses.

We will meet at La MaMa Galleria (47 Great Jones Street, New York, NY 10012).
