Project Overview
This concert-performance celebrates the artistic legacy of Dr. Nonilon V. Queano, PhD, retired professor from the University of the Philippines College of Arts and Letters, Comparative Literature. A multi-awarded playwright, poet, and musician, Dr. Queano’s body of work bridges literature, music, and performance.
The evening will feature compositions, poetry, and excerpts from his award-winning plays, performed by Dr. Nonilon V. Queano, PhD, singers, musicians, and performers from New York City, the Philippines, and Canada. The concert highlights Queano’s lifelong dedication to the arts, both in the Philippines and in the diaspora.

Multi-awarded playwright (Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, Cultural Center of the Philippines).
Published poet and playwright.
Album release: Pagbabalik ng Musikero (2014).
Fellow: USIC (United States Information Agency) Writers & Scholars Exchange Program, USA, 1988, representing the Philippines.
Composer of 115 original Pilipino (Tagalog) songs after retirement.
Kulintang musician with Kinding Sindaw since 1992.
